NerDenim indigo sewing thread is produced by strong continuous fiber polyester filament with cotton wrap and dyed using natural indigo dyes. Indigo colorant is obtained by treatment of indican glycoside, which is present in the amount of 0.2-0.8% in the leaves of Indigofera tinctoria, a tropical plant. It is very resistant to light, washing, alkali, and acids. In denim products sewed with indigo dyed thread, dark colour flows on the yarn during industrial washing processes after sewing and provides a natural appearance. The cotton covering on the thread protects the thread against needle heating and the strong polyester inside gives a smooth stitching appearance even on thin and delicate fabrics.
